Scarf of the day #6 Hereford

Perhaps not immediately obvious that this is a Hereford scarf, but this was what it was marketed as when Hereford played Morpeth in the FA Vase final on 22 May 2016.

This was the first time that the FA Vase and FA Trophy were played on the same day and it was really a good day out. We had gone supporting Hereford in the FA Vase final, which unfortunately finished in a 4-1 win for Morpeth Town.

Herford were the heavy favourites and had a big backing in the stands. When Purdie put them ahead in the 2nd minute it looked like the Bulls were going to get the win, but Swailes, Carr, Taylor and Bell scored for Morpeth to give the Northumbrian team a big win.

In the other game, Halifax Town beat Grimsby Town 1-0 to win the FA Trophy.

On the topic of scarves, this might not have been a proper Hereford scarf, but I'd rather have this than the ones that appeared for AFC Fylde in 2019 where the team was spelled in two different ways - neither of them correctly.
