Ely City 0 Clacton 1

On Saturday we were back down the Unwin for another lacklustre performance by the Robins, so apologies for another short match report.

Ely started off well enough, but both teams seemed prone to mistakes without creating many great chances. The first real chance was when the visitors had a shot cleared off the line on 31 minutes. However, Clacton did take the lead from a good through ball on 37 minutes to take Clacton in with the lead at the break.

in the second half Ely were pressing, but never really looked like breaching the Clacton goal. They managed to clear the ball off the line twice from 2 Clacton attacks, so the game finished 1-0 to the visitors and there wasn't much sign of improvement.
