King's Lynn 2 Hereford 1

On Saturday we visited the Walks for a game between Kings Lynn and Hereford in the National League North. On paper it looked like it should be an easy win for the Linnets. However, they didn't have things all of their own way.

Herford came quickly out of the blocks and Lynn didn't look like they knew what had hit them. They took the lead on 16 minutes through a Tyrone Barnett goal. After this Lynn grew into the game and created a few chances. Josh Coulson probably should have buried one to put them on level terms. That's not to say Hereford didn't also create chances. Christian Oxlade Chamberlain was pretty busy at right back with Hereford preferring to attack down this side. Nevertheless, despite being behind at halftime, you felt that King's Lynn had more to offer and that the game was far from over

Lynn came out firing on all cylinders in the second half and it felt like things were going to change. Ken Charles eventually got the equaliser on 62 minutes. A Jordan Thompson own goal finished the game off and completed the turn around on 83 minutes. Strangely, this sounds like it must have been an exciting game, but strangely there was a sense of inevitability that King's Lyn n would get the job done in the second half. It looks like they could be quickly returning to the Premier.
